
Wade Nesmith is the founder of Mala Noche and previously CEO and Co-Chair until June 2010 when he assumed the role of Executive Chairman. He also previously acted as President of the Company from October 2008 to September 2009. Mr. Nesmith obtained his Bachelor of Law degree from York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School in 1977. He was the Superintendent of Brokers for the Province of British Columbia (1989 – 1992), and subsequently a senior partner, specializing in securities law with Lang Michener (1993 - 1998). Mr. Nesmith worked with Westport Innovations from 1998 to 2003, helping to lead their public markets activities and retiring as President, Westport Europe. He is a founding director and remains a director of Silver Wheaton Corp. (NYSE), Chairman of Geovic Mining (TSX) and Selwyn Resources (TSX-V) and has been a director of, among others, Polymer Group, Inc., Broadpoint Securities and Oxford Automotive, each majority owned by MatlinPatterson, a New York- based private equity group.
